About
Hi there! I am Dana-- pronounced DAN-a. Not DAY-na, and certainly not DON-uh, as my own sister continues to wrongly call me.
I graduated from Emerson College with a BFA in acting. I can be hired locally in New York City, Los Angeles, Toronto, Vancouver and Boston. I was born and raised in Israel-Palestine before moving to Toronto, Canada as an angsty teenager. I’ve been fortunate to experience two very different cultures and to act in several countries where I’ve connected with people of diverse backgrounds, constantly learning and getting inspired by the people around me and their various perspectives on life. I love humans!
I'm passionate about telling stories that raise awareness, question reality, and inspire empathy and change.
Along with acting, I am deeply committed to social justice and mental health support and advocacy. I am currently pursuing my Masters of Social Work at Columbia University, which has provided great inspiration for my film and theatre writing. I am passionate about working with the LGBTQIA+ community, of which I am a part. I aim to combine my trauma-informed yoga teaching and somatic body work, along with my theatre background and social justice advocacy, to create spaces and imaginative work that emphasizes the values of diversity, inclusivity and compassion.
